CompassPoint™ is a windows-based application that employs Microsoft SQL Server as its exclusive database.   This configuration permits multiple, concurrent users of CompassPoint™ while delivering robust performance.  Lenders typically install Compass’s database on a dedicated Microsoft SQL database server, either alongside other SQL databases or as a standalone server for CompassPoint™ users.  Compass installs its tools on users’ desktops that then interact with the database server through ODBC employing SQL or NT Authentication and defined users and roles.
